Is there Wi-Fi at the lodge?
Yes, we have Starlink Wi-Fi and cellphone signal at the lodge and in all of our secluded cabins.
How many people can stay at the lodge?
We can accommodate up to five couples in combination of our lodge and cabins, or up to 10 single hunters/guests.
What activities do you have for Non-Hunters?
● Relax at the lodge with a freshly poured cocktail overlooking the surrounding landscape ● Bridge to Nowhere jet boat tours along the Whanganui River ● Guided native bush walks around the ranch ● New Zealand virtual on-site wine tastings ● Wildlife and landscape photography opportunities throughout the week Non-hunting guests and partners are also welcome to join the hunts and experience the New Zealand backcountry alongside the hunters, with no pressure or expectation to actively participate. Many enjoy simply coming along for the scenery, wildlife, photography opportunities, and the overall experience of being a part of the action!
Are laundry services available?
Yes, we have large commercial washing and drying machines, and lodge staff who can wash all of your clothes whenever you need. We also have a drying room on-site where wet jackets can be hung, also equipped with boot dryers.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Absolutely! We will send out a pre-arrival form around 30 days before your hunt via email where you can list any dietary requirements or requests. If you have any life-threatening allergies please notify our team directly.
What type of outlets do you have and do I need an adapter?
New Zealand uses Type I power plugs. We have a small number of adaptors available to borrow at the ranch, along with direct USB and USB-C charging outlets throughout the lodge. If you are planning on doing any touring of the country, we recommend buying a couple of universal adapters before arriving to New Zealand.
Do I need to bring rain gear?
Definitely, New Zealand can have four seasons in one day and the weather can turn at anytime. We always recommend packing layers.
I prefer to stay in a cabin instead of the lodge, can you accommodate that?
Yes! If you have any rooming preferences please notify our team.
Do you have AC?
Yes, we have heat pumps in our lodge and cabins.
Where are you located?
Our hunting lodge is located on the North Island, in Whanganui. We are a one hour and 20 minute drive from the Whanganui Airport.
Can I helicopter to your lodge from the airport?
Yes, we are partnered with a great helicopter company based at the Auckland International Airport. This is a very beautiful scenic one hour and 30 minute flight.Please inquire directly to our team if this is something you might want to look into doing.
